Spirit Express: End of the Line [DEMO]
Guy Fiery is getting the promotion of his dreams! But now that he's officially a Train Attendant on the Spirit Express, his senior coworker, Dude Flames, is retiring. So bittersweet! A lot of the train regulars think so too, and they've volunteered to help Guy set up a retirement party as one last hurrah for Dude.
In this demo, you can explore the Spirit Express and chat with the folks on board AND any weird bugs that we weren't able to find in time. Enjoy the full developer experience with none of the tears.
Made in a week for the 2024 New Year, New Skills game jam in RPGmaker.
Controls:
- WASD or Arrow keys to move.
- ENTER to interact.
- ESC or R to open the menu.
- NOTE: there is no mouse functionality for this game right now, so clicking things will not work!

EDIT: New game upload now with like, 90% less bugs! Kai is the other 10%.
EDIT2 (01/16): Finally got browser play to work! Guy Fiery now lives in your computer forever <3 Remaining bugs have also been fixed- No more random grey guy that appears when you press the down key. And you no longer disappear when pressing Shift! Very fun stuff!

Really cool game demo. Kinda mind-blowing that this is your first game.
Although I'm not entirely sure what to do, the game said I received a folder, and that I'm supposed to use it to essentially recruit passengers, but I can't access the folder in the game or in dialogue. Is it not included in the demo?

and yes, the folder isn't accessible yet- we weren't able to implement it in time ^^ just had to put it in for dialogue purposes so that the intro made sense! it'll all be up and running for the full game!
